About Richard
 
Richard Warner is a native of San Diego. (Yes, there are some.)
But he also grew up in many parts of the U.S. as a child, covering parts of the East Coast and the West. He also lived for two years in the Philippine Islands. These experiences whet his appetite for the adventure of travel.

His degree in art and design from San Diego State University, and his professional life includes seven years as a high school fine art instructor. His career then turned into the profession of a graphic designer and he founded the firm Warner Design Associates. For 28 years the firm worked for clients such as: The San Diego Zoological Society, SONY,  the University of San Diego,  MGM Mirage, Chevrolet Licensed Products, Callaway Golf, and many others. The firm’s work includes marketing literature, magazine design, catalog creative and other applications.

He is also the author of the book “All Hands on Deck” which is a well respected title dealing with the issues and management ideas for the field of Human Resources. This book is available on Amazon. com.

Richard left the full-time practice at Warner Design Associates in 2006 to focus on his original love of fine art. His home-studio is in La Jolla, California where he lives with his wife Mary Pat. He is available for commissions and painting classes.
